Also kindly note that there are copy products from Taiwan sold as China Pot, Big Green Egg and Kyoto made of similar fire clay, but inferior in qualities.

If your Kamado/Hibachi (model #3 and #5) is more than 22 years old, the sizes were little bit different because three manufacturers made these products. In 1980-1982, two of the factories closed due to sudden death of one owner and the retirement of the other, leaving only one factory until 1995 (the last skilled Japanese craftsman died in 1995). We designated the name "Kamado" (generic Japanese word) for the product of two manufacturers and "Hibachi" (generic Japanese word) for one. Because of these three different manufacturers, even the same model, and sizes were not exactly alike due to differences in the molds and process of handicraft. For example, cooking grills were between 17-1/2" to 18" dia. for mold #5.

All around the world, creative, dirtbag bohemians are doing just what they're supposed to be doing:

Quitting their jobs; living like gypsies; Experiencing things that other people can't because that's their job. If they write about it, like they should, you get to live vicariously through them.

But you really don't want to be them, because it's an uncomfortable, albeit amazing, way to live.

I went to the hibachi steakhouse today.

In my shirt and tie.

My co-worker complained to the chef about the lack of garlic in their food. The other place uses garlic.

"Maybe you go there next time," said the hibachi chef.

Maybe I live different next time.
