To sleep perchance to DREAM.
2002-09-14 . 11:10 a.m.

Here's my dreams from last night, before I forget them:

Dream 1: I'm in West Orange with my father, who's looking for trains to photograph. (He's a railfan.) For some reason my friends are with me.

A couple of gang members drive by in a car and try to run us over. For some reason there's a big neon sign in their rear view mirror that says "NO" in red.

One of my friends says "FUCKING NIGGERS!"

Dream 2: I'm by my old house, which we sold to a lesbian couple. My father is with me again, and my friends might have been too. (These two dreams happened one after another.) There's these beautiful trees that seem like something out of a fantasy movie in the backyard. They have these huge leaves which are impossibly bright and beautiful. In the front yard, one of the peach blossom trees, which were my favorites, has toppled over with rot and died. I say "I missed seeing the trees blossom this year." My father wants to look in the garage to see how the house has changed, and I say "You can't do that, Dad. Other people live here now." and he says "Don't worry, they're heavy sleepers."

After that, I'm walking down the street and the two women that live in our old house (Who I've never met) are sitting in the backyard. I wave them and say "How are you doing today?" and they say "We're getting drunk!". I find it odd that they're drinking at 10am on a Saturday morning, but I laugh and give them the thumbs up.

I had another dream where a crazy old man stabbed me with a syringe and I wasn't sufficiently armed to repel him.

That last one was really creepy. I'm not even going to go into that one.
