On September 11th, a luncheon was provided for the employees of my workplace to mark the infamous day. Terrorism translated into bowls of pasta salad, sandwiches, and cookies. A flag was raised outside the building in a "ceremony to honor those who died on September 11th". It lasted less than five minutes and nothing was said. At least that's what I heard. I didn't go. The food lasted slightly longer than the ceremony.
